Privacy Policy & Data Handling
VerifAI is a WhatsApp-based information-verification service for Colombia, currently in testing (closed beta, authorized numbers only).
This is a courtesy translation. The service operates in Colombia and the binding policy is the Spanish version, which follows Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1377 of 2013 and other Colombian habeas-data rules. See the Spanish policy.

2. What we collect
- Your WhatsApp phone number, to receive and answer your messages, manage beta access and enforce the daily check limit.
- The content you send to be verified: text, links, images and audio. Verdicts are cached so the same content isn’t processed twice.
- Images and audio sent during the beta, which we may privately archive to review answer quality.
- Basic usage metrics (checks per day, error reports you send).
3. How we use it
- To verify what you send and reply to you.
- To run the beta: access control, usage limits and abuse prevention.
- To review and improve verdict quality, including cases you report as errors.
We don’t sell or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes. We rely on technology providers (WhatsApp/Meta messaging, AI models, web search and a database) that process content solely to provide the service.
4. Your rights (habeas data)
You may at any time access, update, correct or delete your data, leave the beta, and revoke consent. To do so, email azg.stdio@gmail.com or message the service’s WhatsApp number. You may also file complaints with Colombia’s Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC).
5. About the verdicts
VerifAI uses AI and public sources to orient you about a piece of content. Its answers may contain errors and are not a journalistic ruling or professional advice. If a verdict seems wrong, reply "reportar" in the chat and the team will review it.
